Non-coding RNAs (ncRNA) are defined as RNA transcripts that do not get translated into protein. They have been shown to be involved in processes such as regulation of basal transcription machinery, gene expression, splicing and DNA replication.
Microbial RNA Sequencing
Microbial mRNAs are polygenic and carry information for the synthesis of several polypeptides from a single mRNA. Microbial RNA-seq is used to reveal the presence and quantity of RNA at a given moment in a single species.
Eukaryotic mRNA Sequencing
Eukaryotic mRNA sequencing enables the identification of genes that are differentially expressed in distinct cell populations. It provides analysis of novel transcripts, alternative splicing, isoform abundance, and gene fusion events.
