Novogene Increases Long-Read Sequencing Capacity

Recently, Novogene announced to reach strategic cooperation with PacBio. The plan included introducing eight state-of-the-art PacBio Sequel IIe sequencing platforms and establishing a world-class third-generation sequencing service center. Today, the Novogene Tianjin Sequencing Center has already completed upgrading and increasing the Sequel IIe sequencing devices. As a result, Novogene possesses a full series of third-generation sequencing facilities, such as PacBio Sequel IIe, Sequel II, and Sequel. The introduction of PacBio Sequel IIe will further enhance Novogene’s sequencing capacity and bring more accurate, efficient, and comprehensive services to global customers. This lays the foundation of leading status in the field of long-read (HiFi read) sequencing for Novogene.

Sequel IIe is the latest long-read sequencer that was developed based on PacBio's single-molecule real-time (SMRT) sequencing technology. By improving the data processing and computing capabilities within the instrument, the new system can generate high-precision long-read (HiFi reads) data faster and more economically than ever before, thereby providing researchers with a comprehensive view of the genome and transcriptome.
